Group Counselling Sessions

30/08/2017
WE HAVE A NEW student welfare option commencing this term

We are now offering group counselling sessions 4 days a week!

With an increasing rise in anxiety related issues and students: missing school, not submitting assessment, not sitting examinations, or being described as ‘upset' or 'down,’ the school welfare team will be taking a pro-active approach this term.

The School Guidance Officer/Registered Psychologist will be offering group counselling intervention to all students to: minimise anxiety, re-focus, re-engage, or to develop a specific ability which could include study, sport or other, and succeed. The therapy includes: visualisation, mindfulness, relaxation, re-framing negative to positive, and goal setting. Regular attendance or a minimum of 3 sessions is recommended.

Middle Years 7,8,9: Every Monday and Wednesday 1.10pm (second break)

Senior Years 10,11,12: Every Tuesday and Thursday 1.10pm (second break)
