Jonas is part of the wellbeing team in the youth hub and works to support students with mild to moderate mental health presentations via individualised therapeutic sessions. These interventions are designed to promote a student’s academic success, psychological health as well as their social and emotional wellbeing.
These sessions are for students who are not currently receiving clinical intervention outside of school and can be for a range of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, family issues, disordered eating, stress, self-harm and self-esteem.
Jonas is able to see students for 8-10 sessions, once per week during school hours. Jonas is a Cool Kids accredited provider and runs the “chilled” anxiety group program. This is a 10 week program and requires participation by student and parent/s, or caregiver .
Students or parents can speak to the appropriate year Youth Support Coordinators or Guidance Officers for a referral to the school psychologist.
