To foster 21st century learners and leaders who can discover, define, develop and deliver innovative and solution-focused projects for the future. To do this, our Centre of Excellence programs embody the core values of Leadership, Inquiry, Community Responsibility & Purpose, Integrity, Innovation & Design and Opportunity.
Our Core Values
Our Centre of Excellence programs focus on the core values of Leadership, Inquiry, Community Responsibility & Purpose, Integrity, Innovation & Design and Opportunity to provide an inspired and engaging learning program for students.
The aim of the Centre of Excellence Programs is to provide an academically rigorous curriculum for students who have demonstrated a strong interest and commitment towards their studies. The program is designed to broaden and deepen students’ knowledge in a variety of subject areas allowing them to make a successful transition into the senior school.
In partnership with Griffith University, programs are specifically designed to develop and maximise intellectual potential in an environment that promotes a strong culture of academic excellence. Applicants are assessed on academic results, behaviour, attitude, a portfolio of work/trial/audition and an interview. We encourage all Centre of Excellence students to be ‘excellent’ in all facets of the school community and leaders in upholding the PPSH values of Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible and Be a Learner.
Centre of Excellence Subject Areas
We proudly offer a wide range of Centre of Excellence Programs across the areas of Creative Industries, Science & Mathematics, Sport, Leadership & Culture, Engineering & Design and Writing.
