Are you ready to unlock your full potential while having fun? The Pacific Pines Instrumental Music Program offers an incredible opportunity for students to learn an instrument and become part of a vibrant musical community.
Not only will your child develop musical skills, but they will also benefit from enhanced cognitive abilities, improved academic achievement, and a strong sense of social and emotional wellbeing.
Why Enrol in Our Music Program?
- Cognitive Development: Learning to play an instrument engages multiple areas of the brain, which enhances memory, attention, and problem-solving skills. Research shows that students who participate in music programs often experience an increase in IQ and improved spatial-temporal skills, which benefit their overall academic journey.
- Academic Achievement: Numerous studies have demonstrated that students involved in music education perform better academically, particularly in subjects like mathematics and languages. Music develops pattern recognition and discipline, skills that translate directly into improved school performance.
- Emotional and Social Growth: Music provides an expressive outlet for creativity, helping students develop emotional intelligence. By participating in ensembles and choirs, students learn teamwork, communication, and empathy, essential skills for both school and life.
- Cultural Awareness: Music is a universal language that connects us all. By engaging with diverse musical styles, students gain an understanding and appreciation of different cultures and historical contexts, fostering inclusivity and global awareness.
What Does the Program Involve?
Students will receive weekly lessons with our specialised and experienced music educators and will be involved in group rehearsals, performances, and offsite events such as music showcases, eisteddfods and festivals.
Participation may require some commitment beyond regular school hours, including before or after-school rehearsals and occasional weekend performances. In conjunction with the Centre of Excellence, the Music Program offers further assistance to learning music five days a week.
We are excited to announce the ensembles we have to offer for 2025, including: Concert Band, Strings Ensemble, Jazz Band, Drumline, Rock Band, Voice FX, and Guitar Ensemble.

Our dedicated team of music instructors are passionate educators with extensive experience in both performing and teaching music.
